Gabe is a great sharer…the monkey paw that Charlie is nibbling on belongs to the monkey named Monkey and it is Gabe’s go-to toy at bedtime. Gabe was the guy that happily reported that Charlie really really liked Monkey and he was going to let her play with him.
Weather was nice on New Year’s Eve, and several of Graydon’s classmates went to the zoo. I took the Olympus 1050SW and managed to get a few good shots. They mostly weren’t very zoo-ish or Graydon classmate-ish, but they were in focus, which qualifies as prize winning material at this blog.
Among the things I didn’t get with my used Ford Flex was the factory towing package. The factory tow hitch is integrated into the back bumper compared to underneath the bumper with aftermarket hitches. I wanted the cleaner look and additional clearance.
I was able to install the factory hitch with aftermarket 4 pin wiring in one afternoon. This writeup is for folks who are considering the same. This project is simpler than it first appears. The instructions included with both the hitch and the wiring was very good. I was able to do the entire thing as a one man job in about 3 hours, and I was moving slowly.
