Earlier this summer, we took the kiddos to Robinson Center for a showing of Nick Jr. Live. Pretty cool stuff- fun for the kids, tolerable for the adults.
Inside pictures were terrible- went 0-for-everything. The outside pictures gave up a couple of keepers:

Now that we are done with Gaines for the moment, we have more time for the kiddos. We decided to take them to Pinnacle Mountain this past weekend.
We packed a picnic lunch and took them down the Kingfisher trail. easy cheesy.
Despite going during the heat of the day, we managed to hear a few different birds, see squirrels, interesting insects, some fish in the water, huge and very cool cypress trees.
We conducted some serious searching, but we never found Peter Rabbit under any of these big old trees.
The kiddos were troopers, despite the heat, and even sorta almost could be convinced to pose for a picture:
It isn’t exactly obvious from the picture above, but Graydon had the most hilarious “it-is-freaking-hot-and-go-to-hell-with-this-picture-taking-business” look on her face:
Well, converting the attic never became a reality, but we’ve finished all the projects we intend to finish at Gaines. The house is on the [market], the photog for the realtor did a great job of taking pictures of the house, I’ve grabbed them here for posterity:
