Willie Nelson’s Countryman album is coming out this week. It contains reggae versions of Nelson songs as well as covers of reggae artists songs (presumably also done in a reggae style). I am particularly looking forward to hearing the Johnny/June Cash cover. There is a duet with Toots from Toots and the Maytals, whose True Love album is full of great duets. In fact, old Willie has the opening track on the album.
The Yahoo blurb is focused on the fact that Wal-Mart’s versions of the ablum will sport a palm tree on the cover instead of the marijuana leaves of the original album. News at 11 here:
