This is a nice clean looking website with several neat little features. The one that may appeal to the most people is the gmail invite spooler. It collects extra invites that people can’t get rid of and makes them available to those who want them.
Despite having turned down invites prolly half a dozen times, I filled out a request, just to check it out. I will followup if anything exciting happens.

Well, I am not so sure this thing works. I tried it with both my work addresss and a home email address and I have no replies. Maybe there is a time delay, or perhaps it is just collecting addresses to sell for spam. I’ll update this if I find out anything new.
UPDATE- 9/15. Well, I am getting gmail invites from the spooler, but they are turning out to be invites that have already been used. The invite spooler has a facility to report bad invites, which seems like a neat feature. It even invites me to get another!
UPDATE- 9/16. This experiment is being abandoned. I have tried half-a-dozen invites via the isnoop spooler. Every single invite is either invalid (aka used by somebody else) or the mf’ing gmail server is down. Considering I am not that interested in a gmail account to begin with, it is just not worth continuing to try to obtain one.
I have it on very questionable authority that gmail is the devil anyway.
It’s the latest in ways of violating our personal privacy and making our decisions for us, as well as facilitating the desire of the floating virtual panopticon to see and influence our every move. It’s only a matter of time before John Ashcroft has the powers of gmail under his sway and uses it to root out people who are anything other than loyal followers of the one true Bush faith.
