Our kids come through the door after a long day of school and their packs and shoes either overwhelm our small laundry room or randomly fall from their little bodies like leaves from a tree, if that tree was able to walk around and randomly drop things all through the house.
We want to change that:
We didn’t have a spot that screamed out for our hall tree, but we felt like we could carve out some space by the kitchen table. It is a central location and has a relatively open wall:
We built the thing piecewise, sort of mocking it up as we went along:
and pre-painted where we could.
