back in the attic

Gabe’s early arrival pretty much shut down the attic project. The kitchen island project then got top billing for a while.

Finally, three months later, a looming November deadline coupled with cooler temperatures has prompted me to get up in the attic and try to get the ball rolling again. The work has been minor, but it has been effective motivation as it brings the room closer to looking finished:

The sleeping bay is nearly complete. Trim is installed and only small touch up tasks are needed before the mattress and box spring can be put in place.

The pesky problem of a gap, rather than a proper corner where ceiling and wall meet, was solved by a run of crown molding.

Small detail like the trimout for the entry are falling into place.
