I just want to give another pitch for radioio . I know I have raved about how much I like that Internet Radio Station before, perhaps ad nauseum. I usually listen to the eclectic channel, but, today I am listening to the Radio 80’s channel. Excellent.
The last few bands played:
- Nine Inch Nails
- Pop Will Eat Itself
- Cyndi Lauper
- Psychedelic Furs
- Billy Bragg
- Poi Dog Pondering
- Cars
- Big in Japan
- Pet Shop Boys
If I were to use the word “radioio” in conversation would I pronounce it “radio i o” – just saying the letters and using the fact that it’s an extension based on I/O which is pronounced as such, or would I say “radio E o” and pronounce them like the -io at the end of the word “radio.” I kinda hope the later, because rad-E-o-E-o is fun to say.
sorry, pal- it is radio eye oh
Man, that sucks. Good to know though, I’d hate to sound unedjumacated. You’ll be happy to know that I’m listening to radioio, I just installed Foxfire, and I’m working on figuring out the RSS feed stuff – all while keeping two young children totally in line.
I ain’t installing no damn Firefox, and I get a little peeved when all these Linux freaks have to bust on good ole Internet Explorer, which does anything a civilized person ever needs to do. Now, if everyone would just assimilate, there would be no more of these incompatibilities and the internet counterculture would have nothing left to fuss about. You know you will be assimilated eventually anyway.
As for radioio, I’m also listening to it now and am thankful for the tip. Many online radio stations, for one reason or another which I can never quite put my finger on, get blocked by our firewall here. At least, that’s what I blame it on, although I’m sure some radical would tell me it’s because of Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player, which as all normal people know, have no flaws and can do anything.
Hey, these people are singing in French. I love that. Oui, oui.
